    Also on the far side of the water was this beautiful Sacred Kingfisher. I so rarely see Kingfishers at home (count myself lucky if I hear one as it whizzes past!!!), so a real treat to have one posing like this.

    I had another wander round the grounds when the sun had emerged again and spotted this Sacred Kingfisher, firstly on an overhead wire, then down on a tree, so that's the one I'm showing you.

    I thought we'd just about finished after the egret, but no... suddenly on the dead tree in the water appeared a beautiful Sacred Kingfisher!

    If I am not wrong this is a Male Sacred Kingfisher. There was a tree between me and him but I could take the photo from a little space and liked it.
