Female New Zealand Robin (North Island)

Out at Cape Kidnappers today where my friend Kay was feeding the caged Kaka. These birds we are hoping to breed out there and to act as anchor birds to keep the young Kaka in the area once they are released.

Managed to capture this one in the pooring rain. The birds in New Zealand are not at their best because most of them are molting.
