    Lesser Yellowlegs behavior pt1

There was a group of yellowlegs standing in shallow water and every so often, one would suddenly start skittering across/under the water, half flying half running, then reverse and go back, lift into the air and set back down. I assume they were bathing?
  8. Lesser Yellowlegs

    Lesser Yellowlegs

Lesser Yellowlegs (Tringa flavipes) This will be my last post for a few weeks. The wife and I are trying to get out from under this oppressive heat dome for a few weeks. However, when we get back it will likely be worse (lol). Great birding and photography to everyone! Stanley
  9. Lesser Yellowlegs

    Lesser Yellowlegs

Another bird from the same day. The frontal view I did succeed without other birds disturbing the view

    Lesser Yellowlegs

About 65 birds of this species came through in a little more than one hour. I therefore did not succeed in getting a good shot from the side without interference from another one.
