alot of tufted around here just now,i get them all year but they seem to congregate at this time of year.gorgeous little ducks these and i love watching them diving.

no time for preening keep moving and the water wont freeze.well it is rather freezing here and it is saturday fun.

A break from the woodland .... here's a few ducks to look at. Just wish they could all have been a bit closer together. Oh well. We do have a light covering of snow here this morning, but nothing like what I've seen from elsewhere in the UK. A nice sunny day too.

Sooo the two guys I showed you yesterday went off behind the reeds and came back with a lady friend!

Don't they have lovely yellow eyes. This was taken on my latest visit to Kinnordy when they swam right in front of the hide, normally they're much further away on the other side of the bog bean islands.

These tufted ducks paddled off when I opened the window of the hide at Carsington. They were photo shy?

The first time that I had seen these birds. I took this from 100 yards away, the birds were just dots on the water, with 125x magnification, so well pleased on all counts.

Well Peeps, Early start for me today, as were off on our travels again. Were going to Lakenheath for a few days to see me lovely old Mum. Its her birthday on Sunday, so we are off out for a meal. I have booked a restaurant, and 18 of us will be filling our bellies. Unbeknown...
