A new lifer for me. I knew these puffins were almost finished nesting on a well known rock formation but I wanted to wait for a sunny day and low tide. I wasn't able to get very close but was thrilled to catch a few shots as they flew above us.
My first and so far only Tufted Puffin (lifer #421), seen offshore from Trinidad, California on a pelagic trip with the Redwood Region Audubon Society.
Tufted Puffin (Fratercula cirrhata) Photographed in Resurrection Bay south of Seward, Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. Rocky cliffs overlooking Resurrection Bay from an unknown island.
