    A very variable species. This is the sub-species 'centralis'. Separated from similar looking thrushes where the ranges overlap by its yellow (not orange) bill and the rufous on the flanks is restricted, not extending to the breast.

    This is an immature African Thrush.

    This is an adult bird with yellow bill .Unfortunately I saw the thrush only without photogenic background and it was generally shy.
