Well Peeps,
I have to post this morning before me office space gets a makeover. Tonight we have an annual party for Hazel's daughter Lynsey...Plus its Hastings Bonfire Night. We will have around 30 youngish people here, drinking, playing drinking games, and just getting trashed. Its gonna be a...
Well Peeps,
After I'd finished me jankers out in the garden yesterday, I had a shower, got changed and had a short beach walk. All the usual suspects about, but good to get out with me rig for a while...If anyone can tell me what alien looking creature the eye on the bottom left of the pic...
Well Peeps,
I spent a few hours out in the field yesterday, at a very quiet Rye Harbour. Not a whole lot about, and 3 of these along the river were about the only waders I had reasonably close views of...Lots to do today, to get ready for tomorrow's trip to Norfolk and...
Well Peeps,
Its an early post and run for me this morningWe are on the road again. Our few days at Lakenheath are over, and we are going back to Hastings today. Four trains and a bus or a taxi, but we should be home by late afternoon. I guess I will be well stressed, and...

Well Peeps,

Well Peeps,
I spent a few hours at Holme Nature Reserve yesterday. I was joined by my friend Richard Brooks, one of Norfolk's top Wildlife photographers. We had some quite close views of the Marsh Harriers, then moved on to Thornham Harbour, and Brancaster Staithe Harbour. By...
A deceptively warm looking scene that was the coldest day I've ventured forth with a camera for a while. This Turnstone was impervious to the elements however and was enjoying some mussels al fresco with a few others by the river at Rye Harbour.
One of the small waders foraging among the sea-weed at ebbing tide. Taken from quite a distance as I did not want to risk disturbing them. I have a weakness for settings with sea-weed!
Thank you everyone for your very nice comments about my picture of a rock pipit. Here's a turnstone taken on the same day.Flocks of these birds were foraging on the short grass between the coastal road and the edge of the cliff. They were very mobile, never staying in the same place for long. I...
