Turnstone's trying to keep dry.

Well Peeps, Three wet days on the trot now, hope some of you are being luckier with the weather than we are here...Y'all have a great weekend.

A deceptively warm looking scene that was the coldest day I've ventured forth with a camera for a while. This Turnstone was impervious to the elements however and was enjoying some mussels al fresco with a few others by the river at Rye Harbour.

One of the small waders foraging among the sea-weed at ebbing tide. Taken from quite a distance as I did not want to risk disturbing them. I have a weakness for settings with sea-weed!

Not the prettiest of birds, being a bit dull in colour, but photographing them up close they do have a bit of a character about them.
