Well Peeps,
Its another wet, dark, dank morning again here in Hastings...The good news is, I was able to get out for a short beach walk yesterday. Not a whole lot about, and nothing out of the ordinary, but it was good to get out in the field for the first time this year.

I managed a short beach walk yesterday, it was great to get out in the nice clean, fresh air. Lots of the usual suspects about, and I did get a brief view through me bins, of a Dartford Warbler in the undercliff. So heres a few new pics for y'all today.
I've been working off of a dongle for the past few days, and its making me tear my hair out...One minute the internet is there, and the next minute its gone, its so frustrating. Our router went belly up on monday night, and we are awaiting the arrival of a new one.

I spent a few hoursat Lackford Lakes in the company of BF's Tony (Mahsleb) yesterday...What a nice man he is. The weather was crap, but we sat in the hides and chatted, and had a cuppa afterwards. Took some pics of a Great Crested Grebe in the mist, but mine were like the weather, so...
Ruddy Turnstone (Arenaria interpres morinella) There are two recognized subspecies with only subspecies morinella mapped for Texas. Sexes similar. Indian Point Park and Pier, Portland, Nueces County, Texas, USA. Bay side, Corpus Christi Bay.
No idea what was going on here, but a couple of the Turnstones were doing this, but with no volume...Perhaps its just a yawn, and they were bored with me taking their pics, LOL.
