Leica APO Televid 82 - first impressions

I recently upgraded my spotting scope to a Leica APO Televid 82. I found a good deal on a used model online, and despite my conviction to wait until I’d had a chance to try it, I upgraded on the spur of the moment. Not the wisest move, for sure, but I felt like taking a risk. For the last year...

Vortex Razor HD Gen 1 20-60x85 vs Athlon Ares G2 20-60x85

Hello, I am admittedly not much of a bird watcher, but am looking for a spotting scope for an upcoming deer hunt out west. I did not get much of a response yet on the hunting forum I posted to. Both of these spotters seem to be similar in price and in my price range. It is hard to find...

    Looking to upgrade binoculars

Hello everyone, I’m looking to upgrade my opticron Explorers 8x32 and wanted some opinions on some Binos I was looking at in the $500 range. Do we know of any other eyepiece than its standard zoom-eyepiece that would fit this Vortex Razor HD 50, preferably with a wide FOV, either fixed or zoom? Curious about small, easy-to-carry spotting scopes, I have found a lot of information about the Nikon ED50 and the different (Nikon)...

Digiscoping Adapter for the Vortex Viper HD spotting scope and my Olympus OM-D E-M5?

Hello guys, I'm about to buy my first spotting scope for wildlife watching and I want to try out digiscoping with it. I'm just very unsure about which adapter to use, or which ones even fit (the ones recommended on the site for the spotting scope are for Nikon and Canon only). Do you have any...

Zeiss Diascope Alternate on scope cover

Hey Folks, just wanted to share and alternate (rather affordable) on scope cover for a Zeiss 85mm DIascope straight. I spotted this Vortex Razor 85mm on scope cover for 85mm scope on eBay for $40, from Vortex on the east cost. It looked like it might cover my non covered Zeiss Diascope OK ish...

    Great service experience

I had some problems with my Diamondback HD binoculars and sent them in for warranty service. Vortex sent me back a new pair, very quick turn around. Everything seems to work well and there's less CA than my originals. I understand why Vortex gets high praise for their warranty service!
