The only clear shot of a kite from an afternoon photographing kites. I was new to photography, it was a cloudy day, and I kept changing settings to find one that worked. With the kites flying in one after another, I was busy clicking and not checking. Rookie mistake. Lucky I even have one image...

Avoiding the rain of yesterday morning, but not the persistent Westerly wind, I was lucky to find a pair of Rock pipit's still feeding this calling juvenile, on the leeward side of the steps down to South Stack lighthouse, Anglesey, Wales. Not normally easy to photograph, i found them quite...

I was staying at my sister's bungalow in the Welsh valleys. While traversing her 10 acres of land I saw a Red Start for the very first time. Always wanted to see one, and it's only taken 40 years! Regards, Darran
