Nature's beauty at the reserve

Looking back at a great spring migration last year, to prepare for the upcoming migration of Warblers this spring. This warbler was shot at Pelee Point National Park in southern Ontario.

Dartford Warbler

Adult. Common resident breeder of Malaysia. Settings: 640mm ISO2000 1/320s f/5.6 +1EV.

The dinky birds are a challenge to photograph, in my opinion. Makes me happy when I get a decent shot.

Not sure which warbler, maybe a pine or palm. Down by the dock in the brush. Seemed to be the day for dinky birds.

I been seeing these at a distance but finally go one up close. Would have posted sooner but I had to fine the photo.

A fine day at Boundary bay for these YWR. The lichen covered tree was almost the same colour yellow as the YRW.

So here's how this came about. I was trying to get a photo through a window of a chickadee hanging cutely upside down from the branch near the center of this photo. The drizzly, early morning light was very poor. In poor light and with a busy background like this, my camera sometimes does this...

An unknown to me warbler type bird. Ignoring the sunflower seeds, and after having a drink, checking for leaks in the water pan. Or, maybe looking for bugs, because truthfully, I doubt it's a Plumber Warbler! lol

Had several tame birds that would land at my feet or totally ignore me as they foraged for food in the trash!!

Only 4 known breeding pairs this year. Great Reed Warbler; a young bird. Brenne ( Berry), yesterday.

out a walk today not for long though rain,rain,rain.saw these little guys think willow warbler.liked the setting of this one.
