saw these from my hotel room window on a recent visit to New england. Didnt learn what they were until today when I saw them on the Opus section of this forum
Here's a shot from last December. On a gloomy day, 3 waxwings suddenly appeared on this tree in my garden, feasting on the berries. I managed to get a few shots through the window before they flew away. Extraordinary birds!
I tried not to go out and photograph any more of these delightful birds but I failed. They have all the attributes to make them a film star of the bird kingdom, good looks and a lovely, lively manner.
This is one of the Milton Keynes flock feeding beside the main road in the shopping centre, a slightly different take on the usual waxwing in a tree or eating berries in the bush, I hope you like.
