Okay, I hadn't even seen a Waxwing until this week... now just love theem.. I hpe that you like this one?

Might be seeing some of these against a white backdrop again soon... hope so.

A 2cnd shot of this most colourful bird.Really,such incredible colours.

This flock appeared for just a short period at a time of severe frost and plumiting temperatures. For this shot they arranged themselves in an almost perfect display which gave me the idea that it would make a great Christmas Card image.

The search wasn't in vain, as I eventually bumped into a friend and he was already shooting a flock of waxies. Great stuff.

This little chap was one of 26 that I was priveleged to snap on the 7th December in Worcestershire.

I self found these waxwings last weekend. Awesome landscape in N Lincs..not on any reserve...just on track from North Cotes to Horseshoe point..a Barn Owl later made my day!!!!

Probably hoping the branch will take its weight as it edges down to the berries.

I love the complementary tonal quality of this image which was achieved on a day when thick fog had to be overcome. It just proves it is still worthwhile leaving the armchair even on unpromising days!!

Thick fog made conditions difficult but using a flash with extender helped!

Had a magical encounter with 70+ waxies today and even had some decent sunshine to admire them in, hope you enjoy
