Got two buses to the park yesterday, just setting me rig up and it started to drizzle, but decided to stay and hope it cleared up. It stopped raining, but remained overcast for the whole two hours I was there, before tipping down and I got well soaked. Not many birds about, haven't even bothered...

Another shot of one of five Wheatears which I found near the net drying posts in Lowestoft. A few days later an Isabelline Wheatear turned up in exactly the same spot. Doohh! Ron

From a very gloomy morning at Thornham Harbour. This brightened things up though.

Weathers overcast here, so I wont be going far today. The boss is on her way home from her babysitting duties in Brighton, so I'd better get some chores done, ha! ha!

    Be back soon...

Very smart looking birds, wheaters. I especially like the fact that they are the earliest spring migrants, and often one of the last to leave, almost as though they are reluctant to spend time away from the lovely UK! Taken at Labrador Bay, Devon, where I DIDN'T see any Cirl Buntings!!

I failed spectacularly to find the Redstarts and Pied Flycatchers at Lowestoft on Saturday but I did come across five Wheatears feeding in the sunshine by the old fishing net drying posts. They kept a wary eye on me and wouldn't let me get too close as I followed them up and down the denes. Ron

Wheatear caught up with this bird hanging around Reservoir this morning.
