One of a whole group of whiskered terns that put on a performance for me. very fast, very hard to capture. I'm also happy to be corrected on the identification if needed :-)
I was so focused on the heron that I missed the moment when this Whiskered Tern fed the juvie. I caught the moment after, when the juvie was still calling out for more. Perhaps he'd seen the size of the fish the juv heron was struggling with and wanted one that size for himself ...?

Most of the time I struggle with flight shots. I despair of ever being able to freeze a bird in flight properly.But I keep practising. I like this image and decided to keep it even though it is fuzzy.
