Generally, where I go birding Oriental White-eye is the usual zosterops, and initially when seeing a few birds in the middle story I thought these were such. I'm glad I gave them a closer look because once at the right angle, I realized they were chestnut-flanked! A lifer for me!

These little birds do some of the worst damage to grapes.

Philippine endemic white-eye

This Silvereye had a lot to say for itself.

Adult. Uncommon resident (feral) breeder of Singapore. Settings: 1458mm ISO800 1/250s f/6.6 +2/3EV.

This juvenile is seen following its parents constantly and begging for food.

This little Silvereye was haging around my sugar water begging to be fed.

This little Silvereye found some of the jam I put in the sugar water.

These little birds also love the sugar water and hold thier own against the larger Tuis and House Sparrows.

This little fellow with dozens of others, I caught feeding on my popular sugar water feeder.

Another common endemic species in most of the mountain in Borneo, the only white-eye without obvious white eye-ring.

These little birds are using my sugar water in great numbers this spring. They are so active and hard to get a good photo of them.
