From Maidenwell we then headed further into the Bunya Mountains Park and were about to enter the Russell Park Picnic area, when Hans slammed on the brakes for he'd seen a movement up in the trees.
Out we piled and I was lucky enough to get a couple of shots of this rather attractive Pigeon...
Apparently one of the shyer pigeons and these two weren't making it easy by being so far up into the canopy. We think the grey crown and breast means the one on the right is the juvenile but happy for someone to confirm.
A different shot with the early morning light showing up the duller colours of the females. The grey on white on the neck and chest area gradually gets whiter as they grow older.
