The Whitethroat's will soon be with us again, this image was taken last summer. I look forward to getting some new shots, when they arrive. ROD.

This whitethroat seemed to think it was a stick insect and tried to become part of the perch it was on. It was caught as it was about to dive into cover, but made an interesting shot don't you think?

this lovely little bird followed me along a country path singing his heart out, but tried to stay out of sight, but a little patience and voila

Well its been a horrendous weekend here weatherwise, and as I type this I cant see out of the window, as the rain is just sheeting down again. Needless to say, its back to the oldies again. I am presently going through an old external hard-drive, and have come across quite a few images from 2007...

I already have a pic of a female Whitethroat in my gallery but I was so pleased with this one I had to put it up. I am seeing lots of female Whitethroats but - unless I am mistaken - I have not yet seen a male one

Taken at 08:30 in the morning - first time I have been out birding early - definitely worth it - lots of bird activity which quietened right down after 10:30 ish
