Good to have these lovely birds back again, this shot was taken on a cloudy dull morning, hoping for some better light soon.

I found my first Whitethroat of the year in exactly the same spot that a pair nested, last year on the reservoir, so I guess this is the same male returning. Hopefully he'll find a mate soon and nest again. Expect a few more shots when the sun decides to shine again and I can go...

We had a great session on the lash yesterday, in the Dolphin, our local pub. The guys from the band arrived, and a few of the local musicians joined us, we had some really good craic. Followed by a nice big juicy steak at Fagins, my fave local restaurant...I feel quite good this morning, strange...

I saw this Whitethroat land on some brambles near the sluice at Minsmere. When it disappeared into the brambles I moved much closer and waited behind a bush in case it reappeared, which it eventually did. For a moment you could amost believe that I knew what I was doing. Ron

Well Peeps, The rain ceased yesterday afternoon to allow the "Street Party" to go ahead. A good night with a couple of really good bands, and it was really well supported, which is great for all the hard work and effort that people put into it. Today its "Pirate Day" here in...

Had a super couple hours with Ken, last Thursday morning, we where both delighted to see a pair of Whitethroats, taking food to a second brood, the food consisted mainly of Grasshoppers. I hope to get in another visit this Saturday morning. Catch up later, it's my gardening job day again!!!
