Whooper Swan (Cygnus cygnus)
Although they are regarded as rare birds, whooper swans are regular visitors to the north of Spain in winter, always in very small numbers.
In 2012 we had six of them in the northen coast of Spain.
We're off to the south of Sweden for a birding holiday. this afternoon and wont be back until Wednesday evening. I'll try to post on Bird Forum now and then.
The light was very poor during our trip to Hornborgasjn to see the Cranes but I got one or two atmospheric shots that wouldn't have been possible otherwise.
