    Willow Tit?

If I hadn't heard a Willow Tit call just before this bird appeared I'd be very tempted to say this is a Marsh Tit, especially as both are now resident on the reserve. Or were there 2 birds?

There are two of these quite active around the garden at the moment. They seldom stay still for very long, unless they are on a feeder collecting sunflowers.

    Welcome Willow

Well, I assume it's a willow tit - could be a marsh tit, with the current climate! Either way, it was a most welcome visitor to my back garden this week.

How they managed to escape into the nearest small spruce is a mystery to me. Saw them peek out from the tree, and after a minute or two...
