I intended to hold on to my last upload until later, as the Sparrowhawks have been busy (but unsuccessful) this morning. But I just saw a male swoop into a tree in another garden, and leave with a small bird in his talons. So the chances are things will be quiet for a few hours now.

Well the feet aren't touching anything, so it's either a flight shot, or it's magic|=)| From the Reservoirs yesterday, it might look a bit odd, as the bird was jumping (flying|=)|).
As usual, the first picture that's caught my eye from this morning at the Reservoirs. I got pics of mostly Warblers today, and some of Long-tailed Tits; a few other species too.
Back later when I've sorted through the pictures I took.

A great week of Carnival activities topped of by a huge parade and firework display from the castle last night. Everything went really well, and the highlight must be the record breaking pirate assembly that has put Hastings in the Guinness Book Of Records...
On my way home today I heard this little willow warbler somewhere in the foliage of a neighbor's overgrown garden. Got my camera out and tried to spot him. He led me on quite the wild warbler chase, even just standing still and turning this way and that. No sooner would I get him in the frame...
I think it's a Willow Warbler from the bill and eye-stripe. I find some juveniles can be difficult to call. Another one from the mixed flock seen this morning.
