A day out at Rutland Water...I was assured it was going to be 18deg!! A mist and a biting wind didn't give me much confidence. However after lunch the sun came out, numb fingers came back to life and walking back to the car in the sunshine..(at least 10deg warmer!!) I spotted this very obliging...
A Willow Warbler perched in a Willow tree at Strumpshaw Fen. I'm surprised this one worked at all as it was quite late in the evening and both I and the tree were swaying in the breeze. Ron
We've had a beautiful few days down here and I've been wandering the hills enjoying the spring birdsong and trying to get decent shots of the many small songbirds.
Apologies for the writing on the pic but I'm redoing my website again and want to stamp my mark on the pictures.
A belated Happy...
Well Folks,
Got to give the old trigger finger a bit of a work out today. My sister-in-law changed the dressing on my hand for me yesterday afternoon, so Hazel and I have been for a walk today. The weather has been overcast, and dull, but we walked the short circuit of RSPB...
Please humour me this is not a real good picture but i was pleased to get this little beauty catching 40 winks ,any other time they hardly give me time to get a shot in.
