Wilson’s Snipe (Gallinago delicata)
My wife and I leave for South Texas in the morning for 10-12 days. I will not be on line during that time. Good birding and photography to everyone. Cheers! Stanley
The usually hard to find Wilson's snipe has been popping up a lot lately - this marks the 4th time I've photographed one in 4 weekends, and this time at a different wetlands than the previous shots. I'm not complaining, though!
Another lucky spotting last weekend - this very elusive and very well hidden bird is one I may get to see once or twice a year, and some years not at all.
