One of my favourites.
It's been a bad summer for bird pictures and I have no more in the queue after this! Not sure when or where the next one will come from.

Little Egret - Reed Warbler - Wren - Greenfinch - Cormorant - Kestrel - Grey Heron - Shelduck chicks - Cygnet.

I've seen an occasional juvenile at Slimbridge but this is the first time I have noticed one at home.
It's been around for some days, usually with parents.
Note the lack of white neck.

..PIGEON.. :)
every morning without fail he appears to have his fill.. and as each day go's by he is becoming tamer and letting me get closer..
i think this is my best effort to date..

I was photographing a peregrine in Rochdale when this bird was fighting with another behind me. Unfortunaytely I missed the action....too slow to pull the lens around. The light was great so I took a couple of shots of this handsome bird.
This is one of a few pictures I just took of a Wood Pigeon. Usually I would have adjusted the exposure, or changed my position, but this time I didn't. Yes, I was brave, I experimented.|=)| Anyway, I think it works, and is a bit different.
Through the window as usual.
just a common wood pigeon coming down for his morning fill..
please comment good or bad as i need all the advice i can get as im new to photography.
