Grey and overcast this morning, so I'll leave the Reservoirs for another day.
There's an Elderberry bush that overhangs my garden, and the Wood Pigeons are always trying to get to them. The branches are very thin, and won't support the weight of a Wood Pigeon, so some acrobatic feeding is...
Strange one this; I liked the lighting and setting, so took a picture, but I didn't anticipate the effect of taking it through the leaves of my trees.
Anyway, I like the result, as it's a bit different (and I like "different"|=)|); through the window as usual
Not much happening in my garden at the moment. Overrun with starlings, wood pigeons and a few blackbirds but very little else. Anyway, just to cheer myself up I thought I'd share this rare wood pigeon with you!
He stood looking into our room for ages. He seems so sad.
For a week now he just wanders around the garden just flying off when disturbed. I wonder if his partner is on a nest.
I couldn't get the angle to get both of it's eyes in view, but I like the fluffed-up pose.
Through the window as usual.
I'm a bit busy today, so I might not upload a 3rd pic, not sure yet.
There's about an hour each day, when the light is just right for a bird perched on this wall. And of that hour, there's about 20 minutes when the BG is at it's best. So obviously, I try to get a picture of whatever bird happens to be there. Unfortunately, the birds know about this, and won't go...
Another bird species (along with Pigeons and Mallards) that doesn't get seen in the gallery as often as it should, IMO.
Anyway, from the garden yesterday.
