    1st Jan-2007..no birds but laughter...

    Well even though it was a public holiday i was working.A steady stream of patients since i came in-looked up as i saw the last pt-time was 12.45pm.Changed into my birding cloths and picked up my bag kowa and tripod-stepped out of my room and saw about 12-15 patients waiting for thier medication...

    Well hidden in my bag hide between some rocks i was watching greylags,when this sandpiper suddenly landed just in front of me.I had a hard time trying to fit it in the frame,its really way to close,and i only got one shot of it. The shutter sound of my 20D scared the hell out of it.

    One lone sandpiper on the banks of this fish ponds. A little different from the main scrape inside Mai Po only 2kms away where there would have been 2-3,000 waders.
