I had posted one of these on the ground recently, and said it was a lifer, but this image actually was the first time I saw this bird. Once again I had no idea what I had until I got back from that days outing.
On my way further south into the everglades along highway 41, I saw this odd looking bird. Well, it turned out to be one of 5 lifers I got on this trip.
