glad it did not flew away when i came near. first thought its another pipit or the crested lark. but it turn about to be this and a lifer for me. LOL, still doing the happy dance.

During the last days I've gone down to the river several times, to check the breeding trend of the species I usually meet ... this time I was lucky enough to spot three breeding pairs of this beautiful lark, more often heard than seen
After long time, back to my spot in Burnt-out Wood again ...the sky was preparing for a spring storm and was spreading down a whitish cast, everything was still except for this bird quietly singing ...
I've got to say that I reckon I'm pretty observant in the field but I nearly walked right past this Woodlark. I reckon I was only a few metres away when I took this....tried to inconspicuously back up a few steps to get a better angle of approach....off it flew
