Another ubiquitous bird along the Taff trail. I was hearing them every other tree, it seemed. But they were very busy, quick and shy. This was the closest I got, and it's a loooong zoom. Luckily, at max zoom including digital + teleconverter, the fz200 gives me something like 2500mm. Of course...
For the first time in months I'd felt up to a wander along the river, which coincided with a nice day.
I chased the movements of this little Wren for ages before managing to grab this image. This camera sure is paying off though, as I wouldn't have got a picture at all with my old camera!!
This is how close the wren came as s/he dashed past me along the flower bed :eek!: S/he was right at my feet! I'd had to take the teleconverter off to get a clear shot, but luckily I'd already done that for the earlier shots when s/he was a bit further away in the flower bed but moving closer. I...
This is that wren I managed to get a shot of glimpsed between some leaves on the campus at Aberystwyth Uni. When s/he moved across open ground, s/he really put on some speed :eek!:
