One of our prettier resident songbirds - most of our more colorful warblers and vireos only migrate or winter here, but this one stays here most of the year except to head a bit farther up in the southeastern states to breed.

... but it is usually after Christmas when one or two arrive and they always perch on the eucalyptus tree.

I usually see at least one during the Spring Migration.

Saw this lovely bird late in the evening the day before we returned. Turns out to be a N. American native wintering in Mexico:). Wish there was more time to see this better in daylight.

This was the first pic I took of this Warbler figuring it would be the only one I'd get cause he was fidgeting around. The one I posted yesterday was the second one ;)

And I actually got a couple of pics ;) It is such a beautiful Warbler.

I came across this creeper like beauty among the cypress trees at the Corkscrew CREW, east of Naples, Florida.

This warbler is not all that common, but it is a year around resident of south Florida.

Another Winter raity in NS - this was a regular visitor to a feeder near my place of work, Kentville. It was last seen during a heavy snowstorm in late Dec., but was present for the Xmas Bird Count.
