The reflection on the water was in better focus than the bird, so I swapped their positions. Had you scratching your head for a moment huh?

The Wagtails are quite a confusing lot. Here in Japan, we get Grey Wagtail, the occasional Citrine Wagtail and at least 4 subspecies of this charmer, the Yellow Wagtail. By the color pattern, I'd guess this a young female of the M. flava taivana subspecies.
I was watching this wagtail, precariously balanced on this small mound of dirt. In the next breath it went head over heels. I had to laugh it was so funny.
This yellow Wagtail was continously feeding just below one of the hides at the reserve giving us birders the chance to view it closely and take photos!
Another from my trip to Teesdale,this shows the amount of insect life in that part of the world also lovely meadows covered in beautiful wild flowers,i can almost remember the day when Lincolnshire had some of the same.
