Had a nice few hours at Dungy yesterday, spoiled only by the wind, thats the weather I'm referring to, not my stomach. Great to see some of these pretty birds about, and pleased I was able to get quite close to a couple of em.
This little fellow surprised me in August last year.
He must have been quite thirsty and maybe unexperienced, since he tried the salt water.
And he's not singing, he's breathing that way due to the heat.
I love Yellow Wagtails :-)
Especially when they come in all flavors (it's not a subspecies).
This one, correct me if I'm wrong, is a 'Motacilla flava Dombrowskii'.
wanted to share my new lifer which i got yesterday but i am waiting for conformation of the ID, so here is another one from yesterday, was chasing that lifer with the car when a group of three from these appeared, running, if they did not move they would have not being possible to see them...
so i can use it as an excuse for the not so good shot.
got this while i was shooting the red dragonfly, was not close enough for my 300mm Zuiko which i am not getting along with much.
not sure which race it is beema or thunbergi, but since i am familiar with beema as it is a regular visitor...
