A Yellow Warbler. I'm not sure why it's pulling on the plant fiber, either nesting material or checking the fibers for edibles, maybe. Identification by Merlin Bird ID app.

This is one of the most misidentified warblers in North America. A locally abundant migrant in the Fall, immatures such as this sport a pale eye-ring, pinkish bill and faint yellow wing-bars. These birds may be confused with some plumages of Wilson's, Orange-crowned, Nashville, Connecticut...

Yellow Warbler

Was doing a cleanup by going through some old photos on an external hard drive to see what I could get rid of. Came across a few shots of a Yellow Warbler I took some time ago with my old Fuji S4800 that I totally forgot about. Don't think I ever posted this one here for some reason..

I liked the shot. Also, it was quite a bit of work "chasing" after this warbler around several trees to get it, so I figure it deserves a better fate than simply being forgotten on my external hard drive ;)

Yellow Warbler (Setophaga petechia) Male.

A common and fairly easy warbler to photograph. Even tho I have seen many of these, this one posed nice so I clicked away.

Not sure if this is the same one from the other photo, there were 3 of them flitting around in the brush

Got lucky at the park this morning. Had to be quick on this one! At Huntington Beach State Park, SC

Only ever get to see these birds maybe once or twice a summer. Frustratingly, this is the best shot I could manage of one this season so far.

Yellow Warbler (Dendroica petechia subsp. aestiva) Male, species sexually dimorphic. Canopy Lodge, El Valle de Antn, Cocl Province, Panam. Tropical rainforest/cloud forest becoming a more broadleaf evergreen forest with fewer deciduous trees at ca. 596 m (1,955 ft) elevation adjacent to Ro Guayabo.

This is a different bird, from later in the day. Definitely a Yellow Warbler (if this were West Coase, I'd say female, but this was East Coast so I'll go with juvenile - similar to Orange-crowned, but lacks their eye streak), and definitely not a match to the other bright yellow bird from that day.
