Another Yellowhammer.
Trying to capture this species most of this year when I could hear them, but could never approach before they flew off.
In early August this year I was surprised to find the birds were very close and in abundance: some were easy to approach but difficult to photograph...

A change from my USA bird pics today. Yesterday I managed a couple of hours on Lakenheath Warren in between hospital visits. Not a whole lot about, but plenty of these beauties.
There are quite a few birds I prefer capturing while they are perched on a tree rather than on the ground, even though they are often half hidden by the foliage and maybe further away. This is one example.
