I took a picture of this bird at a marsh yesterday. I am not sure about zitting cisticola, I think it looks too dark (may be the bad lighting, it was a cloudy day) and too chunky. But then again I dont know any passerines with a clear, unspotted chest, that would match the wing pattern and...

It was very cold on that morning. That's probably why its plumage was so ruffled.

these lovely little warblers are getting well established in our region in the last few years. Love their typical zip-zip flight call

these "zitzits" were everywhere and they seemed to support the heat better than most other birds.

no more luck with Sardinian warbler today, but the place was full of fan-tailed warblers, just waiting to be photographed.
