    White Throated Sparrow 2021-10.jpg

White Throated Sparrows are a dime a dozen around here, but they're almost always on the ground. They're actually quite attractive in the right setting.

    Let me out of here

I was done filling the feeders this morning when I heard something in the bushes. It was 7:11 and still on the dark side, but I took the shot anyway. Didn't know what I had until I got in the house. BTW its another new yardbird for me

    White-throated Sparrow (tan morph)

A glorious spring day and about 20 or so white-throats were fatening up for the trip North and I enjoyed every minute of the day and took a few shots.

A winter visitor here in Nashville, this little guy will soon be headed north. They usually forage on the ground, but I was fortunate to catch this one checking out my perch.

For some reason I've had a devil of a time getting a decent photo of this bird even though they've been daily visitors to the feeders. The second the lens points at them, pouff, they are gone. LOL - I was pretty pleased to capture this one on the Japanese Maple. It isn't as sharp as I'd like...
