I’m going to be in Happisburgh all week next week. I know Hickling Marsh is nearby so I plan on going down. What’s Round this time of year? I fancy trying to do a dawn or dusk crane watch but I know that’s more of an autumn activity.

Any other sites worth looking at? Is the beach any good for sea watching?

Hickling is always good, even at this time of year. Cranes can be heard / seen at any time of day, as can Bitterns, Great Egrets and Spoonbills. Horsey / Winterton are often productive (go early before the doggers) You could come across almost anything passing through - Red-backed Shrike, raptors, Cranes, Flycatchers etc
