Today on the North Concho River in San Angelo State Park North Unit.

The 1st photo looks to be a group of Blue-winged Teal but I'm not sure what the bird in flight is, maybe a Solitary Sandpiper. I didn't see it before the shot and it was gone after. I saw a few Killdeer and one Solitary Sandpiper elsewhere....that was it for shore birds. Oh, I forgot, one Wood Duck and four Great Blue Heron but it's safe to say we can rule them out..!!

The sparrow was working the overgrown rock/sandbar. It flew up to a low hung Pecan tree.

Today I saw Lark, juvie and adult Black-chinned, and Rufous-crowned Sparrows. eBird shows a number of August submissions for Cassin's. The only other sparrow on the Bar Chart for August are Chipping Sparrows.

Thanks for the help.
