2016 a good year (1 Viewer)

Hi All

I've had a very good birding year in 2016,highlight would be our holiday in Orkney, Skydancing Hen Harriers,Puffins Bonxies, Black Guillemots, Hooded Crows, Long-tailed Ducks and Great Northern Divers everywhere, the trip up was good as well Ospreys at Rutland, The Farne Islands with their stunning Puffins and Arctic Terns.
Also some good trips,a nice visit to Wales ,Choughs, Merlin, Dipper ,100's of Red Kites and Hawfinch the highlights and some good visits to my old haunts in East Anglia with the Purple Swamphen and Cliff Swallow trips amongst the highlights.
Seeing the Isabeline Wheatear and a fantastic Jack Snipe up at Titchwell
A trip to Portland to see the Great Spotted Cuckoo another great day!
Some good days out locally as well watching Black Terns at Dunge and the Penduline Tit and the Stejenger's Stonechat either end of the year in the same location and the Forster's Tern nearby were highlights
In Sussex Osprey,Red-necked Phalarope, Desert Wheatear, Red-backed and Great Grey Shrike, Ring Ouzel, Serin, Rose-coloured Starling and Finding a Montagu's Harrier at Seaford Head the highlights
