Well, I thought I'd use a different subject to the rest of the posts in here! Sorry if it offends, it's not meant to.

:flowers:

I live in Livingston, West Lothian, and have just started getting interested in bird identification. So far I've been birdwatching at Argaty Farm for the Red Kites and buzzards etc. and down to the River Almond pools for some smaller birds (Linnet, mallard, kestrels).

Hi TS, welcome to birdforum from all the staff here. We hope you enjoy the site. As you can see from the edited title, we can't really accept that sort of language on the forums (especially as a thread title on the main welcome forum). Mild as it may seem to many, we have to cater for all sensibilities.
regards,
Andy

Hi TS,

Welcome to BirdForum from all the Moderators and Admin.

Hope you enjoyed the Red Kites - they are one of my favourites.

It was to do with your backside, pduxon is correct, and again any offence caused was unintended!

DJ sideboard - not sure about the Waxwings as I've not been out & about lately but I looked them up in my book last night and will see what I can find this weekend.

Have a good day everyone.

There are exceptional numbers of them in Scotland at the moment, so worth getting out and having a look as they are very charasmatic birds. They especially like urban areas with lots of berry bushes.

Waxwings love supermarket car parks so try your local Sainsbury's or Safeways. Although now that Safeways have become the slightly less salubrious Morrisons, Waxwings may not go there any more - they are very discerning shoppers (never seen Waxwings at Aldi, Lidl or Netto)
