3 in 1 long jacket (1 Viewer)

Suggestions would be much appreciated for a good quality 3 in 1 long jacket please. Off to Scotland in June. Having been before I know that you can have 3 seasons in one day so wanted versatility and of course, not too noisy! Must have my bum covered.
Quite like the look of the North Face Selsey but a bit pricey and DON'T want bright pink! That seems to be all that's left in the sales.
Many thanks

Country Innovation make some very nice jackets though they are quite pricey. I have the Lady Innovation jacket. It's a little on the heavy side but is really tough, fairly quiet, and very comfortable to wear for long periods, and it covers my bum. It is a lined jacket so is fairly warm by itself; great for standing around watching birds, perhaps less good for long distance hillwalks. It does have a zip for zip in fleeces (fleece is not included) although I don't usually bother with attaching my fleece. They sometimes have discounted jackets which have been "field tested". I got mine at a good discount and it appeared to be as new.

I'm not a big fan of jackets with zip-in fleeces so I can't really recommend one. In my opinion all the `zip in' does is add the weight of the zip (and its inconvenience), and tie you to a particular fleece. Combining my favourite fleece with my favourite stand-alone jacket (appropriate for the expected conditions) gives the best combination in my opinion. If you widen up your search you are giving yourself a much higher chance to find something suitable.

I like Paramo for cooler conditions (definitely non-rustling and hard wearing), but they're not the lightest and they don't come cheap, but are available on sale fairly regularly. They do have longer cuts available (I'm definitely with you there!).
