Don't no what duck it is yet but it just looked like it had been sprayed with metalic paint.

Looks like a mallard crossed with... something. ;) See the curly tail feathers? That means that there's at least some mallard in the mix somewhere. What a weird bill, too!

I noticed the curly tail feathers too. To be honest, I've no idea what it is, but BEI was the first one that came to mind, as they are very dark, just like this one.

Probably an escapee, Snappy.

Snapper, I've just had confirmation from a friend who is rather knowledgeable regarding BEI. She confirmed that it is one, and the "curly tail" is because it's a drake.

As I mentioned, an escapee.
