Those with Nikons will always stick by their brand image just as Canon owners do. Most of the hype that people use for comparing the 50D with the 40D is not born out in reality when in the hands of this lady who loved her 40D but can see all the increased values in the new 50D. At the end of the day its all in the eye of the beholder, if you choose to believe that the 40D is better than the new 50D then lets not fall out over a piece of equipment that just takes an image in one moment of time.
