I've just spotted your thread. I've been using the same 7x35 Activa binoculars as you for several years. I got mine from Dixons in Milton Keynes when they decided to clear their stock, and paid about £55, new. I like them particularly for their wide coverage, and at last summer's Birdfair I couldn't find anything to touch them, so I saved a lot of money! They live in my car and get the most use by far, and are useful for quickly scanning the scene when I'm using a telescope. I also have the pocket sized 8x25 Activa Roof; and the Activa 7x50 Porro from the same range and use them at dusk. In the house I keep an old pair of 8x30 Porro, and these seem to focus in the opposite way to the others - annoying. I'm a spectacle wearer and by far the worst view from the above small collection, is from the 8x25 Roof which happened to be the most expensive by a factor of 2x! I think I must be very lucky as I don't seem to notice off axis problems with bins or 'scopes, but I certainly notice it on my photographs.
