8x20 Ultravid diopter adjustment problem (1 Viewer)

I'm getting ready to send my 8x20 BR in for repair and wondered if anyone else had ever seen this problem before.

If I adjust the diopter it will often slip adjustment, even to the point that there isn't enough range in the knob to make them usable. Depending on which direction it needs to go, to interim fix was to gently tap one end or the other until it was once again, adjustable within a usable range. I've had the adjuster all the way to one side and the other, so off they go for repair, and I'm asking them to tighten up the eyecup tension too, as they close too easily when I'm walking.

I had one pair where the proper diopter setting changed according to focus distance. I sent it back for service, and Leica service USA (which was great) replaced the binocular.
