[QUOTE="brocknroller, post: 1726155, member: 665"] I believe you just demonstrated the reflexive property of equality! :-) Of course, you also need good resolution to resolve fine details even with a slow and precise focuser. But at the premium level, that's a "given". What would help you appreciate your BA better is to try a Nikon 8x32 LX, which takes 1/2 turn to go from cf to infinity. CloseFocus is precise (pun intended) and so are focusing at longer distances where the depth of field is better, but at medium distances, I found the shallow depth of focus due to the ultra fast focuser would cause me to fiddle for the best focus on targets. I purposely overshot the target, and then came back to achieve the sharpest focus. The first sample 8x32 LX I owned had a "fast and loose" focuser that was "unsafe at any speed". I'd overshoot my target near or far and always had to toggle back to find it. So despite it's "quick draw," it didn't help me get to my target any faster than my porros. While I would prefer a focuser that was "just right" - neither too fast nor too slow - given the choice of slow and precise and fast and loose, I'd take a slow and precise focuser like my 8x32 SE's.
