I thought the sx1 and it's junior model without hd video sx20 felt much better, more rugged . don't know about quality of images but their image stabilisers seemed excellent.  Still not sure if the are worth £330 to £400. jessops don't sell the panasonic fz38 but that looks a decent choice too especially at £250 online. Its sensor is supposed to be inferior to the Canon.so in conclusion ... i don't know!!</blockquote>
