Hi Fozzy Another fabulous report and I really enjoyed walking along with you once more along with nature at its best. A local area that you enjoy is a bonus - an early start will open the doors to seeing a lot more than your would at the mid-point of the day. It is said it is always better to see birds at dawn and dusk. Green Woodpeckers are very noisy birds, and will let you know of their presence very easily. No wonder you jumped out of your skin. Great to se so many species of Tits on the go. Makes us think that your gardens are mostly devoid of them as it is the moulting time for them but at least you can see them in other places. A Graveyard is a great place for watching wildlife and there is no shortage of activity in a undisturbed area. Super to see the Sparrowhawk. Fabulous to see a Spotted Flycatcher. A great find. We where lucky to see 2 Spotted Flycatchers while in Spain (a pair as it was the right time of the year) These birds where sitting in a tree close to our table while we sipped our cups of coffee. They flew around and picked up all the flies and insects from the outer window of the Restaurant. They where flying up and down and in all directions. Fabulous to watch. I could see you arriving back home with spiders hanging from your forehead. :eek!: Look forward to your next report Regards Kathy
