FWIW I hadn’t realised that Muntjac have such long tongues!
Interesting that it was feeding on funghi? as well as Laurel leaves…and boy did he give my laurel bush a good shaking! 😮

Again the BOC shots though. Why can't you wait and give us even better results from the actual camera?

(Kits: look at almost any mammal with a muzzle and it has a long tongue. Ever been licked by a dog or seen a giraffe licking out its own nostrils? It's more that we humans have short tongues.)

John - we have muntjac visiting our garden daily, and roe occasionally. We’ve had deer proof fencing put around the back but can’t enclose the front. 🙂

Lucky you, I have to go and find both those species - mind you I love my nightly visiting foxes 😁

Edit: I also confused who made the comment about the long tongue. Doh!

Cheers

John my condolences! I didn’t realise you were related to Butty.😮 My computer is an old (15yrs) slow affair, and I find that the sharpening/lighting software on my iPhone has more than the edge over the software on my windows seven!
Thus it is not a case of impatience to transmit, more expedience and superior images (mostly).
Herewith the same 4 images straight from the comp.
If you can’t see the difference, may I suggest you join Butty in the queue for specsavers. 🤣👍

Hi Ken,

Apologies for obviousness of my exasperation with your practise, I've looked at so many and gritted my teeth over them.... Giving it to you without the heat, all I want is for you to give your pictures a decent chance, same as I want for everyone.

There's nothing very much wrong with your actual photos in post #6. There is something very considerably wrong with the BOC versions, which look even shown small as if they are pixilated: when enlarged they look as if they have been printed on an airtex vest.

When there's urgency, such as "what's this I might need to phone it in" then BOC makes sense. When there isn't you are doing better with the computer. Honestly.

John
